LINCOLN, Neb. — Second-seeded Diller-Odell advanced to the Nebraska State Volleyball Class D-1 championship at the expense of Hartington Cedar Catholic, downing the Trojans 25-23, 25-19, 25-22 in the semifinals on Friday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Karli Heidemann had 18 kills and eight ace serves for Diller-Odell (35-1), which will play fourth-seeded Archbishop Bergan (30-11) for the championship today (Saturday) at 11 a.m. at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Cedar Catholic (19-13) will face top-seeded Pleasanton (31-2) for third place, 1 p.m. match at Lincoln East High School.
