OCEAN CITY, NJ — From the bike auction to Chip Miller fundraisers, there's plenty to this week in Ocean City. Here are seven potential activities.

Bicycle Auction, 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Shelter Road Recycling Center

You can bid on used bicycles that police have deemed abandoned or unclaimed. About 100 bicycles and other items will be fore sale. Successful bids typically range from $1 to $350, giving people the opportunity to purchase a bike for a low cost. Read more: Ocean City To Auction Off Unclaimed Bikes

Chip Miller Surf Fest, 8 a.m. Friday, Seventh Street Surfing Beach

The Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation will hold three events in Ocean City throughout the island on July 19 and 21.

Surf Fest attracts hundreds of surfers, family and friends who aim to have fun, while raising awareness and money for Amyloidosis research. Surf Fest is open to surfers of all skill sets, from the most novice of novices to local and regional pros.

Check-in begins at 7 a.m. Rain date is July 20.

Slide for Amyloidosis and Taste of Ocean City, Friday, Ocean City Water Park

The Taste runs from 6-8 p.m. It features some of the area's finest food from spots including Bungalow Bowls, Boyar’s, Red’s Jersey Mex, Sandwich Bar, The Farm Stand at 14th, Uncle Bill’s Pancake House, Playa Bowls, Hank’s Hot Sauce and Hula Grill.

The Slide runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and includes access to all the park's water slides. For prices and more information, visit www.chipmiller.org or call 717-243-7855, ext. 113.

Chip Miller Skate Fest, Sunday, Ocean City Skate Park

The third-annual Chip Miller Skate Fest features a variety of contests from skaters of all ages. Registration opens at 10 a.m., contests start at 11 a.m. For more information, visit www.chipmiller.org.

Wacky Wednesday (Doughnut-on-a-String Eating Contest), 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Music Pier

Participants must eat an entire doughnut — no hands — without letting it fall off the string. First to finish wins. Contest is free and limited to 150 contestants.

Book Sale, Friday and Saturday, Ocean City Free Public Library

Shop for books, audio items and more. Hosted by Friends and Volunteers of Ocean City Free Public Library. Open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Info at www.friendsvolunteersocfpl.com.

You Can Dance If You Want To, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Music Pier

The Ocean City Pops present a celebration of dance and the music that makes you dance. Classical, jazz, film, and theater favorites from past and present.
