The Four Seasons Chorale Virtual Talent Show:  Noon Nov. 6. This year’s event is raising funds for the Port Jervis Warming Station through voting for your favorite act.  Votes are $1 each and there is no limit to how many votes you wish to cast for a particular act. Voting runs from noon on Nov. 6 through midnight on Nov. 13. The winning act will be announced on the Four Seasons Chorale Facebook page. To check out the acts, either go to the chorale’s Facebook page, or go to YouTube and type in “Four Seasons Chorale Virtual Talent Show.” A link to donating will be available on the YouTube site; you may also donate to the Warming Station from the YouTube site without voting.  All proceeds from this event will go to the Warming Station. “It’s A Wonderful Life” 1940’s Radio Show Auditions: Live Auditions will be scheduled individually (masks required) on Nov. 6, 6–9 p.m. and Nov. 7, 2–4 p.m. at the Rivoli Theater in South Fallsburg. Individual auditions can be arranged via zoom prior to Nov. 6 with Director Harold Tighe. The Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop is excited to offer a virtual production which will be performed online, in costume, with COVID precautions and regulations. Zoom Volunteer Training: 10 a.m. Nov. 12 and Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. Jewish Family Service of Orange County invites you to become a Friendly Visitor Volunteer in Orange County. This 90-minute virtual training prepares potential volunteers to provide support to older adults in your own communities. For about 3 hours a week or less, volunteers provide local transportation to essential appointments, grocery shopping and friendly visits.  Volunteering is rewarding and flexible. The Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop presents "Hate Mail" via BroadwayonDemand.com/ShowShare: Nov. 13, 14, 20, 21 starting at 8 p.m., and Nov. 15 and 22 at 2 p.m., Ticket cost is $7.95. This hilarious comedy features Amber Schmidt as Dahlia and Josh Rosengrant as Preston. Their love/hate relationship romps through many ups and downs in this wickedly funny alternative to “Love Letters.”  Watch as these two embark on an epic, often acrimonious correspondence as their lives intertwine. Whether Preston and Dahlia are joining cults, having breakdowns, shipping each other deceased lizards, or falling in love, “Hate Mail” is a comedy full of surprises at every turn. The show is directed by  Bunny Woloszczak and Sally Gladden. Military historian Charles Breiner will discuss Japan’s relationship with the United States, starting with Commodore Mathew Perry’s visit to Japan in 1853 until the war with the United States began on December 7, 1941. Solar Imaging and Viewing to be Presented by Adirondack Sky Observer: 7:30-9:15 p.m. Nov. 17. Adirondack Sky Center advisor Tim Connolly will speak virtually at the monthly meeting of the Mid Hudson Astromical Association about viewing and photographing the sun safely. His talk will be at 8 p.m., at the end of the regularly scheduled 7:30 p.m., meeting of the MHAA. The public is invited at no cost to attend both events. The presentation will guide attendees through the various solar scopes available on the market, important differences between the solar setups, the various types of solar filters, what they will show on the sun, and a peek at solar imaging. Those wishing to attend can register for this Zoom presentation at midhudsonastro.org which will take you to the MHAA Meetup site. Pumpkin Flower Arrangement: 6:30-7:30 p.m. Nov. 19, Goshen Public Library, Goshen. Create a beautiful centerpiece inside a carved pumpkin. We will use seasonal flowers that you can easily purchase and you will learn skills to create a balanced and colorful design you can apply to future pieces. Learn how to draw wine glasses, tea cups and saucers, and other symmetrical objects, and learn a short-hand trick for perspective. All you need is a pencil and paper. Chili Take Out Fundraiser: 3-5:30 p.m. Nov. 21, Time and the Valleys Museum parking lot, 332 Main St., Grahamsville. The dinner includes, 16 oz. chili (mild or hot, with all the fixings) rice, cornbread and ice cream. The ice cream is donated by Gillette Creamery and food catered by the Neversink General Store. Tickets for the Chili Take Out are $10 per meal and are available at timeandthevalleysmuseum.org, or by sending a check to, Time and the Valleys Museum, P.O.
