PEORIA – A woman killed last week in a two-vehicle accident in Central Peoria probably died instantly, according to authorities.

Aries Terrell, 34, of Peoria was ejected from one of two vehicles that collided about 10:30 a.m. Friday at Reservoir Boulevard and Rochelle Lane.

Terrell received life-saving measures at the scene, Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood announced Monday morning. It had been reported a bystander was performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation on one of the vehicle occupants.

Paramedics transported Terrell to the OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center emergency room. There at 11:17 a.m., she was pronounced dead.

According to Harwood, Terrell sustained multiple blunt-force trauma injuries. Toxicology was pending, as is standard.

It wasn't clear if Terrell was driving one of the vehicles. There were two others transported to the hospital. Their identities and conditions were unavailable.

Peoria police were continuing to investigate.
