BUSINESS. A PERSON HAS DIED TWO DAYS AFTER A CRASH IN GREENVILLE COUNTY TROOPERS. YSA THE CRASH HAPPENED SUNDAY MORNING ON ROPER MOUNTAIN ROAD NEAR TURTLE CREEK DRIVEHE T CAR CROSSED THE CENTER LINE OVER CORRECTED THEN HIT A MAILBOX FLIPPED OVER IN A DITCH AND CRASHED INTO A UTILITY POLE. THE DRIRVE WAS NOT WEARING A SEATBELT AND WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL.

A driver has died days after being injured in a crash, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.Troopers said the crash happened on Sunday on Roper Mountain Road near Turtle Creek Drive.The coroner identified the victim as 26-year-old Cornelius Lamar Thompson of Greenville. Troopers said Thompson was driving a Honda sedan on Roper Mountain Road when it crossed the center line and Thompson lost control of the car. The vehicle then went off the right side of the road, struck a mailbox, a ditch, overturned and struck a utility pole, troopers said.Troopers said Thompson was taken to a hospital and died on Tuesday.He was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
