Apple is expected to announce a new iPhone line as well as a new Apple TV during its Apple Live Event on Sept. 9, 2015.

Ring, ring.

It's that time of year again for Apple fans as the company is set to announce a new phone lineup during its Apple Live Event at 10 a.m. Sept. 9.

Unlike last year's new smartphone unveil, the new iPhone isn't expected to see a major redesign and will likely see more of a refresh along the lines of an iPhone 6S or a 6S Plus.

Apple is also expected to unveil a new version of its Apple TV box, which is expected to piggyback on the success of iPhone and iPad apps by including more gaming-friendly features.

Although it's almost assured that a new iPhone and Apple TV will be announced at the event, however, it's the less certain prospect that's garnering most of the attention. That would be the announcement of a new, larger iPad, which could help reverse the lagging fortunes of the tablet.

Talk so far centers on a larger, 13-inch version of the device, which folks are dubbing the iPad Pro, although iPad Plus also seems to be in the running. Heck, just call it iPad Air Plus Pro and cover all your bases (which may or may not belong to Apple).

Regardless, the truth will be revealed tomorrow during the live event, which will also be live streamed on the Interwebs. For folks unable to check out Apple's feed, I will also be live tweeting the livestream so follow me on Twitter @jasonhidalgo or this space for the full details as they are revealed.
