Aldi recalls milk over E. coli contamination fears
Milk sold at Aldi stores in some Australian states and territories have been recalled over fears of E. coli contamination.
It follows 7-Eleven Australia’s announcement on its Facebook page it was pulling its two-litre full cream milk with the use-by date of February 24 from stores in NSW and ACT.
The latest Aldi recall involves the Farmdale Full Cream Milk in the three-litre variety, with the best-before date of February 25, which is being recalled due to microbial (E. coli) contamination.
“Food products contaminated with E.coli may cause illness if consumed,” the food recall notice, which has a full list of the NSW, Victoria and ACT stores that sold the milk, says.
“Customers should return the recalled product to the place of purchase, or contact ALDI STORES PTY LTD below, for a full refund.
“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
On Thursday, Dairy Farmers one-litre full cream white milk products with a use-by date of February 25 and three-litre full cream white milk products with a use-by date of February 24 sold in Woolworths and Coles stores were also recalled due to possible E. coli contamination.
