Coronavirus: Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively give $400K to hospitals weeks after $1M food bank donation

NEW YORK — Actors Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, who recently gave $1 million to food banks, have made another large donation amid the coronavirus pandemic.

According to E! News, the power couple donated $400,000 total to four New York hospitals, including $100,000 each to NYU Hospital, Mount Sinai, Northern Westchester Hospital and Elmhurst Hospital.

The news came just two weeks after the stars said they were splitting a $1 million donation between Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.

"If you can give, these orgs need our help," Lively wrote in an Instagram post March 16.

She also offered some words of encouragement.

"Though we must be distancing ourselves to protect those who don't have the opportunity to self-quarantine, we can stay connected," she wrote at the time. "Remember the lonely and isolated. FaceTime, Skype, make a video. Remember the love that can travel through all this."

“Call someone who’s isolated and might need connection,” he added, jokingly posting a fake phone number for “Wolverine” star Hugh Jackman.
