Get ready to wash down that Impossible Stuffed Pretzel with a sweet milkshake that comes with quite an alcoholic kick because the Long Beach Tap House has opened.

The new Belmont Shore spot at 5110 E. Second St., which replaced the suddenly shuttered Tavern on 2, opened its doors this week with a menu full of American classics and dreamed-up creations that are the stuff sweet dreams are made of.

How dreamy? How about alcoholic milkshakes like the Farmers Market Berry, made with locally grown berries, vanilla ice cream, topped with whipped cream and berry vodka. Or the Bananas Foster Milkshake, made with vanilla ice cream, caramelized banana puree and banana infused rum.

But the real stars here are six-ounce grass-fed burgers including the The Truffle Shuffle, which includes housemade bacon, arugula and truffle brie.

And there are vegan options, too, with items such as the Impossible Stuffed Pretzel, which is made of seasoned Impossible vegan “beef,” green cabbage and caramelized onions inside a warm pretzel bun.

There are also more than 30 beers on tap at the spot, which is owned by business partners Dena Jones and Brent Scheiber.
