Brad Paisley’s ‘No I In Beer’ was two years in the making

Brad Paisley had the framework of his song “No I In Beer” two years ago, including the now-appropriate line, “We’re all in this together.”

Paisley says he and co-writer Kelley Lovelace wrote a lot of the song in 2018.

Paisley says when the coronavirus pandemic hit and everyone kept saying, “We’re all in this together,” the song took on a different meaning.

He says it turned into a “rallying cry” and a “fight song.”

Since Paisley is unable to tour because of the outbreak, he’s taken up invitations to surprise people on their online meetings.

So far he’s turned up at a teacher’s meeting, a gathering of medical personnel, and a guy’s 21st birthday party where friends were playing beer pong online.
