Cher, 75, Shares Her Fitness Routine That Leaves Her With One Thought: ‘Whoa’

Even though American popstar Cher rose to stardom in her early 20s, she’s not letting time slow her down. The 75-year-old Grammy-winner is well known for her music, acting, and more recently, how she stays incredibly fit. Now, the celeb is offering more insight into her exercise regimen that keeps her feeling young.

Tuesday evening, the singer shared her go-to workout routine with fans via Twitter, which includes more movement than most people would get in a week.

“Just came up from abs, Zumba, yoga, wall sits,” she wrote in the post, detailing her recent sweat session schedule. The actress then shared her workout plan for the following day, which she said will include, “my step class, yoga, different abs.”

It would make sense that the iconic performer needs to be in pretty good shape to strut around the stage in skin-tight costumes and mega-high heels, but even Cher herself added that the workout made her feel “WHOA,” from all the exercising.

But the star knows it’s well worth the work to keep her performing. Cher continued to say that her friend “Pauli” has a friend who made a “strange” comment about her recent M.A.C. Cosmetics commercial. He told the superstar that “she still walks the same way she did when she was young.” Cher joined M.A.C as the co-star alongside Saweetie for January’s #MACChallengeAccepted social campaign.

Fans and followers chimed in to agree with the friend’s observation and complimented the superstar’s strut in the recent commercials and her diligence with her epic workouts.

This isn’t the first time Cher has given fans an inside look into her workout routine. In a recent interview with Vogue Cher revealed she likes these hardcore workouts because they help her feel more like herself. “I work out because it’s just part of who I am, and when I don’t do it, I don’t feel very well. I don’t feel like myself, and I don't feel young,” she said in the interview. “This is not a big thing, but it’s kind of a big thing for me.”

The star also added that her neon-colored workout equipment helps motivate her to get moving, including her “hot pink Alo yoga mats” and “beautiful Alo blue blocks” for her yoga sessions.

“I just did yoga with [my son] Elijah, and it was a b*tch, and he was sailing through it, which reminded me that I have got to start my yoga again,” she said in the interview. “I’ve been doing other exercises that I love, but you know, yoga is a challenge and I have to challenge myself!”

Cher told E! Online back in 2010 that she has to “work twice as hard” to be fit now that she’s older—it’s clear that she’s doing the work. We’re always in awe of her fabulous fitness and dedication to taking care of her health.
