On Thursday, November 8, 2018, at approximately 5:00 pm, San Bruno Police Officers responded to the United States Post Office, located at 1300 Huntington Avenue in San Bruno regarding a mail theft and related mail fraud. Postal Inspectors had been investigating a series of identity thefts committed by an unidentified male suspect, who was at the post office attempting to pick up mail in the name of an identity theft victim.

Officers arrived at the location and detained a male subject who falsely identified himself. A subsequent investigation revealed evidence that led to the subject’s true identity as well as the personal identifying information of several victims; this included government issued identifications, forged checks and credit cards. The suspect was also found to be in

possession of a controlled substance. The suspect was identified as 40 year old Nathan Roggasch of San Francisco. Roggasch has a prior conviction for Identity Theft is on probation in San Mateo County. Roggasch was arrested and booked at the San Mateo County Jail for charges related to identity theft, burglary, check fraud, false identification, probation violation, and the possession of a controlled substance.
