A Central Florida man accused in a mortgage fraud scheme involving Kissimmee condos pleaded guilty to bank fraud and may face up to 30 years in prison, feds said Monday.

Marek Harrison, 56, of Plant City set up a scheme using straw buyers during the 2007-08 real estate bubble, prosecutors said.

The fraud was centered around Saratoga Resort Villas, a condo conversion of a former hotel at 4787 West U.S. 192 in Kissimmee, according to the Department of Justice.

It involved kickbacks and incentives for buyers, which were hidden from the lenders.

Harrison and two other men — Scot Rounds of Winter Garden and Brian Allard of Seminole — were indicted in 2016.

Harrison’s sentencing date has not been set.

The case was investigated by the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
