Six candidates are left in the search to replace Gahanna-Jefferson Superintendent Mark E. White. Officials began with a list of 20 applicants.
School officials will begin interviews with the finalists Monday, followed by a second round of interviews to begin April 30. School-board members plan to decide the district's next hear on May 21.
The candidates, and links to their resumes and application letters, are:
- Robert Britton, superintendent of Ridgedale schools in Morral, Ohio
- James Grube, superintendent of Buckeye Valley schools in Deleware, Ohio
- George Joseph, executive director of administrative services for Worthington schools
- John Kellogg, assistant superintendent of curriculum for South-Western schools
- Francis Robert Scruci:, superintendent of Wellington schools in Wellington Ohio
- Michael Zalar, superintendent of Oregon schools in Oregon, Ohio
White plans to resign July 31, cutting short his three-year, $150,000-a-year contract by a year. He is leaving for personal reasons, in part to spend more time with his family in Texas, he said in a January interview. Board members expect his replacement to begin the job Aug. 1.
