Harbor Freight Tools hiring for Howell store replacing Sears Appliance

HOWELL - Harbor Freight Tools is coming to the Howell Plaza Shopping Center on Route 9.

Harbor Freight Tools has signed a lease for a 21,890-square-foot store formerly occupied by Sears Appliance and Hardware, which closed in January.

Harbor Freight Tools is moving into a former Sears Appliance and Hardware Store on Route 9 in Howell.

The store is expected to open this fall, according to HowellPlaza.com.

"The store is hiring a number of full- and part-time positions for the new Howell Plaza Shopping Center store, including sales and stocking associates, supervisors and managers," according to the website. More information is available at harborfreightjobs.com.

A Harbor Freight representative could not be reached for comment on Monday morning.

Workers have begun preparing the store for Harbor Freight Tools, a private retail chain based in Calabasas, California. The retailer has 19 stores in New Jersey, including locations on Route 36 in Eatontown and Hooper Avenue in Brick.

Harbor Freight Tools is a discount retailer that sells tools and equipment, including hand tools, tools for outdoor and home use, as well as tools for various occupations, including plumbers, electricians, welders and automotive technicians.
