Alabama Approaches 30,000 COVID-19 Cases, 830 Deaths

The Alabama Department of Public Health continues to report high numbers of new COVID-19 cases.

MONTGOMERY, AL — Cases of COVID-19 in Alabama continue to rise throughout the state, as the Alabama Department of Public Health confirmed Saturday nearly 30,000 total cases and 828 deaths.

Nearly 200 people have died in Alabama from the virus in the month of June alone. A total of 339,100 tests have been administered in the state, with 29,126 positive cases. In the last 14 days, 93,568 tests have been administered with 8,989 tests coming back positive.

  • June 13: 976 new cases
  • June 14: 857 new cases
  • June 15: 314 new cases
  • June 16: 531 new cases
  • June 17: 942 new cases
  • June 18: 727 new cases
  • June 19: 540 new cases
