Based on the novel of the same name by Alissa Nutting, Made for Love follows Hazel Green’s (Milioti) as she struggles to find herself in a world that has been overcome by technology. The series begins with the understanding that Hazel had married eccentric tech billionaire Byron Gogol (Billy Magnussen) for 10 years. Byron is the founder and CEO of tech giant Gogol Industries. For nearly a decade she was more than just a wife but a test subject of sorts, falling victim to her husband’s strange and controlling nature, refusing to eat real meals, allowing everything down to her orgasms to be monitored, and never once leaving the his camera and sensor-filled home. That is until Hazel reaches her breaking point. When Hazel learns that Byron has inserted a tracking device in her mind in an attempt to fuse them into one consciousness, Hazel finally puts her foot down and flees to find her aging widower father (Romano) who has fallen in love with a sex doll.
