Big Brother All-Stars: Robert 'Memphis' Garrett wins veto power and keeps same pair up for eviction

Robert 'Memphis' Garrett had a secret rebellion on his hands during Wednesday's episode of Big Brother: All-Stars on CBS.

The 37-year-old Head of Household made an incredibly harsh speech when he nominated David Alexander, 30, and Nicole Anthony, 24, for eviction.

He told David that he was 'at the grown-ups table now,' and was aggressively rude to Nicole, with viewers of BB's live feed even claiming that Memphis used racist language later.

Whatever he said prompted much of the cast to privately turn on him, and it didn't help when he seemed to leave his own alliances hanging at one point during the following week.

'That nomination speech was so extra,' said Daniele Donato, 33, who was allied with Memphis, but didn't agree 'with the way he's acting as a human being.'

'He has a huge head, and honestly, he's really belittling a lot of people in this house,' she added. 'And I don't respect that game.'

After the speech, David licked his wounds in the BB kitchen, where he was approached by Tyler Crispen, 23, another person allied with Memphis.

'We'll show him how to play,' Tyler swore, calling Memphis an 'old-a**,' and fist-bumping with David. 'You got this. You're here for a f***ing reason.'

Tyler said Memphis was 'lame' for 'slapping' people around, and added, 'That might have been how they played back in 1943… but this is 2020, man. Things have changed.'

Janelle Pierzina, 40, who was allied with Memphis, decided the time was ripe for a 'back-door situation' and went to gather intelligence.

Speaking to her, Memphis bragged that he didn't really care which nominee left the house, but suggested that Nicole was an easy target and David was clueless.

'For me, it's the road of least resistance, and it doesn't affect me one way or another,' Memphis said.

Janelle tried to get Memphis to set his sights on a different target: Nicole Franzel, 28, the winner of BB18.

She secretly wanted to get rid of Nicole, and let him know that Nicole was secretly working with four other people in his alliance.

'She's one of the sneakiest Big Brother players in this entire house,' Janelle said in a confessional. 'And she's already won this game. Why not get her out of here?'

Cody Calafiore, 29, offered his pal Memphis a different point-of-view about it all.

He suggested that they do a separate back-door deal, putting either Janelle or Kaysar Ridha, 39, up for elimination, as they seemed to know nearly everyone in Memphis' main alliance.

With that information, they might start a movement to selectively target those people, which could render both Memphis and Cody vulnerable.

Memphis, however, wasn't ready to make enemies just yet, because he needed everyone in the house to think he would be loyal to them.

While he worked on his strategy, Nicole F. was off relaxing with houseguests Enzo Palumbo, 42, and Kevin Campbell, 40.

She told them all about her upcoming December nuptials to her BB18 co-star, Victor Arroyo III, 29, and her desire to get pregnant immediately.

Kevin said he and his male partner wanted to have a baby via IVF, mixing their sperm in a 'cocktail' so that they didn't know who the father was.

'I'm here to win the $500,000 so I can start this new chapter,' he said earnestly.

The time came for the Head of Household competition, in which Memphis, Nicole A., and David were participating.

They drew three names from a box to see who else would join them, and came up with Tyler, Nicole F., and Ian Terry.

As they waited to play their new game, 'All Starry Night,' Ian was officially 'punished' for having previously joined the Safety Suite with Christmas Abbott, 35.

That week, he'd have to learn four sci-fi scenes in full wardrobe in order to earn the coveted role of 'Dirk SpaceJammer.'

As Ian performed the lines, an unseen 'director' critiqued him, telling him he was not allowed to move on to the next scene unless the one he was doing was perfect.

The director even woke Ian in the middle of the night, and forced him to wake his co-stars to practice scenes with him.

As the power of veto competition approached, Tyler was horrified to learn that Janelle and Kaysar had identified their alliance, but Memphis was planning to do nothing about it.

He was motivated to win the 'golden power of the veto' as a way to rattle Memphis and support David, whom he considered a friend.

The 'Starry Night' game required the six competing houseguests to balance an orb on a flat spear, with the person holding it aloft the longest winning the veto.

'Probably the most important reason to win the veto is you have two sides of the house both campaigning to back-door the other side of the house,' Memphis reflected.

Memphis lasted the longest and won the veto.

Nicole F. suspected that Janelle and Kaysar had convinced Memphis to back-door her, and privately noted, 'I don't really trust Memphis at all right now.'

Daniele tried to convince Memphis to back-door either Janelle or Kaysar, but he rejected that idea.

He ultimately decided not to use the power of veto on anyone, even though he knew it might make him look weak to his own alliance.

'In the end, Memphis is the one making the rookie moves this year,' Daniele carped.

As the episode ended, Nicole A. started to gain strength from Memphis losing support.

'I'm going to be campaigning for votes for me to stay,' she said, describing herself as 'angry.' But if that is not working, I'm gonna blow s*** up.'

'The last thing my mom said to me as I left for the season was 'I need you to be ruthless,' she remembered. 'Well, it may be time to be ruthless.'

Big Brother: All-Stars will return Thursday on CBS.
