Bahrain moves up in international judicial ranking

ManamaBahrain achieved remarkable progress by moving to the 32nd place in 2016 international judicial standing in terms of criteria adopted by the Global Competitiveness Report. 

President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Court of Cassation Chancellor Salim bin Mohammed Al Kuwari extended congratulations to Bahraini leadership on Bahrain’s distinguished international judicial standing. 

He praised the unflinching Royal support to autonomy, probity and impartiality of the judicial branch which enabled Bahrain to jump nine ranks from 41 in just one year.

Chancellor Al Kuwari emphasised keenness of the Supreme Judicial Council on upgrading the judicial system in Bahrain to serve the strategic goal of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. 

He also underlined the efforts made to ensure judicial security that is capable of attracting more investments and increasing Bahrain’s credit rating.

Chancellor Al Kuwari asserted that the achievement is the result of the unrelenting efforts of the Supreme Judicial Council to develop the judicial system in Bahrain.

“It’s also due to its efforts to  promote the culture of global competitiveness to foster justice and freedom by bolstering judicial independence,” he added.
