Rail line construction between Redlands and San Bernardino is closing multiple streets at the train tracks this week, according to the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority.

In Redlands, Sixth Street will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, Nov.  29, and again Monday night into Tuesday morning. Detours will take northbound drivers east to Seventh Street and southbound drivers west to Orange Street.

Just the northbound lane will be closed before, after and in between the full closures from 5 a.m. Sunday to 7 p.m. Tuesday. For the lane closure two-way traffic will remain available.

Park Avenue in Redlands also continues to be closed. The detour sends motorists north around Sylvan Park.

Intermittent daytime lane closures are possible in San Bernardino at Tippecanoe and Arrowhead avenues, Mill Street and Orange Show Road; and in Redlands at California, Nevada, Tennessee, Texas, Eureka, Orange, Seventh, Church, and University streets, and Colton Avenue.

Operations on the 9-mile Arrow line are expected to begin in early 2022.
