Authorities arrested an Aryan Circle gang member Thursday after a SWAT standoff at his Spicewood home behind a Chevron gas station on Texas 71, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Marshall Brown, 43, of Spicewood, was arrested on several charges, including a parole violation, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm, officials said.

Brown is a confirmed gang member of the Aryan Circle gang and “was a fugitive on the run since 2018,” the U.S. Marshals Service said in a statement. The warrants were out of Marble Falls and Burnet County.

The Burnet County constable requested help from the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force to locate and apprehend Brown. They learned that he lived in a home in the 10100 block of Texas 71.

The task force approached and surrounded the home, then called Brown on the phone, officials said. They ordered him to step outside and surrender, and Brown initially refused.

Brown escaped from the property, and officials looked for him for three hours before they found him in a nearby, unoccupied trailer, the U.S. Marshals Service said.

Brown was apprehended without further incident and transported to the Burnet County Jail.

Joseph Elliott began leasing the trailer to Brown and a woman in the Spicewood Square RV Park in September. In October, Elliott said, the tenants were $300 short in their $700 monthly rent, a debt he said was subsequently paid by a local church.

On Nov. 1, Elliott said Brown told him he wouldn’t pay any rent for the month and Elliott would need to serve him to collect what was owed.

After he filed for service, Elliott said a police officer called him to tell him that both Brown and the female renter had warrants out for their arrest and that Brown was considered a “dangerous felon.”
