Ronald Edward Newman, 79, passed to the Lord’s hands on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019.

Ronald was born July 16, 1940, to Helen and Edward Newman. He grew up in Brownsdale, Minnesota, and Austin, Minnesota, graduating from Austin High School in 1958. He met the love of his life, Patricia Stoike, in 1959. They married on Oct. 15, 1960. They just celebrated 59 years of marriage. They were blessed with two daughters. Ron worked in the auto body trade until his retirement in 1999. He was a proud member of the Prior Lake, Minnesota, Lions Club. In the spring of 1998, they moved to LeRoy, Minnesota, to retire. Ron enjoyed carpentry, antique tractors, searching the Internet for a good deal, visiting with friends, a good joke, and spending time with his family.

Left to embrace his memory are his wife Patricia; daughters, Dagny (Chris) Marxen and Janelle (Mike) Wachlin; grandchildren, Sullivan (Amanda) Marxen, Garrett Marxen, Elliott Marxen, Lucas Wachlin and Ahna Wachlin; brother Bruce (Deb) Newman; sister, Sylvia Cart; sister-in-law, Susan (Ralph) Erickson; aunts; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers-in-law, Michael Stoike and William Cart; his in-laws, Charles and Jean Stoike; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, at Bethany Bible Church in LeRoy. Visitation will be held from 2-2:30 p.m. before the service on Thursday at the church. Interment will be in the LeRoy Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at Hindtfuneralhomes.com.
