Canady, a sophomore, scored 12 points in Tuesday's 61-44 home nonleague Topeka High girls win over Kansas City-Schlagle and is averaging 18.5 points on the year for the 2-0 Trojans.
CHLOE CARTER, SEAMAN
Carter opened her senior season with a 15-point performance Tuesday as Seaman's girls posted a 60-46 nonleague home win over Lansing. Carter scored nine points in the fourth quarter.
ATIYA GONZALES, HIGHLAND PARK
A sophomore, Gonzales scored 15 points with two 3-pointers Tuesday night as Highland Park's girls improved to 2-0 with a 48-27 nonleague home victory over Ottawa.
CJ POWELL, HIGHLAND PARK
Powell, a junior, scored a team-high 18 points as Highland Park's boys posted their second straight win, a 51-45 nonleague home triumph over Ottawa.

Roberts scored 15 points and hit seven of eight attempts from the free throw line as Highland Park's boys improved to 2-0 with a 51-45 home nonleague victory over Ottawa.

A freshman, Smith turned in her second straight 21-point performance as 2-0 Topeka High posted a 61-44 nonleague home girls victory over KC-Schlagle on Tuesday.

Sutton, a senior, scored 12 points for Topeka High's boys Tuesday as the Trojans opened their season with a 56-47 victory over host Leavenworth in the Leavenworth tournament.

Taylor, a sophomore, scored a game-high 16 points as Highland Park improved to 2-0 with a 48-27 victory over Ottawa and is averaging 18 points thus far.
