Bucknell 72, Lehigh 56

LEWISBURG, Pa. — John Meeks had 11 points and a career-high 10 rebounds to lead Bucknell to a 72-56 win over Lehigh on Saturday night.

Avi Toomer and Bruce Moore had 15 points apiece and Jimmy Sotos 12 for Bucknell (8-11, 4-2 Patriot League).

The Bison built a 17-8 lead before Lehigh closed within five on two occasions (19-14 and 22-17), but Bucknell outscored the Mountain Hawks 16-6 in the last 51/2 minutes of the first half and led 38-23 at the break. Evan Taylor’s 3-pointer with 5:51 left reduced the deficit to 53-48 but Lehigh couldn’t get closer.

Jeameril Wilson had 16 points for the Mountain Hawks (5-13, 2-4). Jordan Cohen added 11 points and Taylor 10.

Bucknell plays Colgate on the road on Monday. Lehigh plays Holy Cross on the road on Wednesday.

SMU 68, Temple 52

UNIVERSITY PARK, Texas — Tyson Jolly had a career-high 25 points plus 14 rebounds as SMU topped Temple 68-52 on Saturday night.

Isiaha Mike had 12 points and 10 rebounds for SMU (13-4, 3-2 American Athletic Conference), which earned its fourth consecutive home victory. Kendric Davis added 10 points and nine assists. Feron Hunt had 10 points and eight rebounds.

Temple totaled 25 second-half points, a season low for the team.

Jake Forrester had 14 points and seven rebounds for the Owls (10-7, 2-4). Nate Pierre-Louis added 12 points and six rebounds. Quinton Rose had 10 points.

SMU plays East Carolina at home on Wednesday. Temple matches up against Cincinnati at home on Wednesday.

Navy 68, Lafayette 66

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Cam Davis scored 23 points including a 3-pointer with nine seconds left that lifted Navy to a 68-66 victory over Lafayette on Saturday.

Lafayette’s Tyrone Perry was fouled with 2.8 seconds remaining but missed the first free throw. He missed the second intentionally and got the rebound but wasn’t close on a desperate final shot as he went out of bounds.

Daniel Deaver added 11 points and eight rebounds and John Carter Jr. 10 points for the Midshipmen (10-7, 4-2 Patriot League). Greg Summers also grabbed eight rebounds.

Myles Cherry scored a career-high 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting and had seven rebounds. Leo O’Boyle added 18 points for the Leopards (11-6, 3-3).
