The NFL Combine is basically one big job interview for a bunch of prospective NFL prospects.
Do you know what comes with a job interview? Background checks. And in the NFL, with teams getting ready to pay their players millions of dollars to play football, they do their due diligence.
The results of all that research and investigation comes up in player interviews with teams. For Ross Blacklock, a defensive tackle coming out of TCU, he ended up learning that he has an extensive and somewhat alarming record of… parking tickets.
Blacklock built up a total of 37 (!!!) parking tickets during his time at TCU that he had absolutely no idea about.
Don’t worry, y’all. Everything is fine. Blacklock’s tickets were paid through a stipend he was getting from the school. He’s not in trouble or anything.
Two questions, man. I just want to know how. How does one accumulate 37 parking tickets? Like, dude, where are you parking? Just follow the signs, Ross. Sheesh.
Second, HOW DON’T YOU KNOW ABOUT THESE TICKETS? You’ve got to imagine that they put a slip on your car or something. They have to let you know in some way, shape or form that you have all these tickets.
Now, let’s get something straight here. Every single driver has tried to park illegally on more than one occasion. That’s just a fact of life. But THIRTY-SEVEN tickets? That’s a three and a seven? Combined?
