Donald Lee “Donnie” Foust, 77, of Williamsport, MD, beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020, surrounded by his loving family at his home.

He was born on August 23, 1943 in Chambersburg, PA to the late Paul E. and Emma Grace (Foust) Bless.

He was a 1961 graduate of North Hagerstown High School in Hagerstown, MD.

Donnie was employed as a lieutenant at Maryland Department of Corrections in Hagerstown for 30 years. He finished his career at Roxbury Correctional Institute in Hagerstown. He most recently owned and operated Foust Construction.

He was a member of the Army National Guard.

He was of the Brethren faith.

Donnie was a member of AARP; a previous member of Moose Lodge 212 in Hagerstown; and a lifetime member of the Community Rescue Service in Hagerstown, where he served as an EMT and a driver.

He was an American Red Cross blood donor.

Most important in Donnie’s life were his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his loving dog, Chloe, his sidekick.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Linda L. (Miller) Foust; daughter, Lisa M. Carbaugh and her husband, Craig, of Greencastle, PA; son, Anthony W. Foust and his wife, Tammy, of Clear Spring, MD; son, Jerry A. Foust and his wife, Nadine, of Greencastle; sister, Cheryl J. Dunford of Wilmington, DE; sister, Deborah K. Milos of Centerville, OH; sister, Cathy D. Messinger of Aston, PA; brother, David M. Bless of Oviedo, FL; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two infant sons, Donald Jr. and Terry Edward; and brother, Carl R. Bless.

The family will receive friends at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral home will be open after noon on Tuesday for the convenience of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at 1 p.m. with Amy Heltemes officiating.
