Ruth Ella Cornelius, 92, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at South Wind Home. She was born March 29, 1928 in Thomas, Oklahoma to Guy William and Gladys Ruby (Fansler) Stambaugh. Ruth married Keith D. Cornelius on September 15, 1945 in Cordell, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2000.

Ruth went to school in Custer City, Lamont and Clinton, Oklahoma as her dad worked on the Railroad. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Cairo HEU, Lunch Bunch and Mothers Club. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, going to garage sales and TLC sales, playing cards with her friends, her animals, gardening, tending to her flowers and collecting bunnies and dolls.

She is survived by her son, Darrel (Jackie) Cornelius of Pratt; daughters, Linda (Charlie) Campbell of Pratt, Barbara (Marvin) Ramsey of Grove, Oklahoma, Karen (Russ) Eck of Pratt and Janie (Dave) Bishop of Pratt; sister in-law, Pauline Lash of Yukon, Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Keith D. Cornelius; parents; son, Steven Cornelius; grandsons, Jesse Eck and Cody Eck; brothers, Elden Stambaugh, Frank Stambaugh and Dale Stambaugh; and sisters, Roberta Lash and Della Marcucci.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 23, 2020 at Larrison Mortuary with Pastor Mike McGovney presiding. Burial will follow at Cairo Cemetery, Cairo.
