James Taylor and Jackson Browne have moved their 2020 joint tour to 2021. Here are the new dates

James Taylor and Jackson Browne have rescheduled their joint 2020 tour, which was postponed in early April because of the coronavirus pandemic. The new dates in 2021 largely mirror this year’s postponed dates.

The 2021 tour by the two Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees will begin May 15 and conclude July 10, just as this year’s tour would have. The 2021 tour will also include a May 29 show at Pechanga Arena San Diego, just as this year’s tour would have, and a May 28 concert at Honda Center in Anaheim.

Most of the other dates and venues on the new 2021 tour match those on the postponed 2020 tour.

In a joint statement released Tuesday morning, Taylor and Browne said: “Disappointing as it is to have to reschedule these shows, our first tour together, (we) look forward with intense excitement to next spring when, hopefully, we’ll finally get to set this thing in motion. We were hoping to reschedule the tour a bit sooner but the experts we consulted have advised waiting for a full year. We thank you all for your patience and understanding and are really encouraged by the majority of you who are holding onto your tickets. We WILL honor them.”

According to a statement issued by Taylor’s representative, previously purchased tickets will be honored for all of the newly rescheduled dates and “fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets.”

Those unable to attend the new dates, should “reach out to your point of purchase for information on refunds. The patience of all ticket holders has been appreciated through these uncertain and challenging times.”
