Deakin University has teamed up with the Scienceworks Museum in Melbourne to uncover the role food texture plays in what kids like and don't like to eat.

The testing is part of an international citizen science program across both hemispheres.

Michael Mackenzie discovers there's precious little data on what can cause family tension at the dinner table.
