  1. Joel Brown, thanks for highlighting these great scholars. So many of the Menino and Community Service Scholars, past and present, have done so much for Boston University and the Boston community. One example, is how several of the scholars have become tutors with BU Upward Bound where they support high school students from the very same school system that they attended. The leadership, life perspective and high intellectual aptitude that BPS students add to the fabric of the university is immeasurable.

    Kudos to Michael Dennehy, Clare Fitzgerald, and also the dozens of service scholar mentors that support the students. Continued success!

  2. BU has made a great commitment, but it will be even stronger if BU could expand their reach and admit students from more non-exam schools as well. There is talent in underserved communities.
