FARMINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

  • Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its fall 2019 Dean's List for full-time and part-time students. Among the students on the list are Farmington residents Suhaila Buuh, who majors in Pre-Social Work; Liam Hemingway, who majors in Pre-Secondary Education Certification; Thomas Manfredi, who majors in Computer Science; and Michael Tuttle, who majors in Psychology. Recognition for the Dean's List is given at the end of each semester to matriculated students in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

  • The University of Hartford is pleased to announce the following 15 students from Farmington have been named to the Dean's List for fall 2019: Daniel Blake, Pasquale Caruso, Jessica De Atienza, Nathan Dembik, Taylor Hennig, Victoria Jedrychowski, McGwire Keener, Alec Maccarone, Angelica Padua, Rouniel Perez Salazar, Katherine Smith, Ian Thomas, Andrew Benson, Madison Blades and Jillian Maraj.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

  • Alexandra Attas, Anna-Maria Cruz, Cameron Korsen, Sarah Lipinski, Nickole Morris and Karissa Rovella, all of Farmington, have been named to URI's fall 2019 Dean's List. To be included on the Dean's List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Wheaton College, Norton MA

  • Shannon Connolly of Farmington, a senior on the women's swimming and diving team, earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America honors for academic achievement of maintaining a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2019 fall semester. Shannon, a double major in creative writing and studio art, was also named to the Wheaton College 2019 fall Dean’s List with a GPA of 4.0. Students eligible for the Dean’s List must have completed three graded courses and whose academic standing has a GPA of 3.50 or higher. She is a 2016 graduate of Farmington High School and is the daughter of Brian and Denise Connolly of Farmington.
