CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Canton City Fire Department reopened I-77 southbound after a crash that happened just south of the Faircrest exit around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to the fire department, a semi-trailer was driving southbound on I-77 when it went over the Prairie College Street overpass, spilling fuel onto the highway.

The fire department said the driver was conscious when first responders got him out of the of semi.

However, the condition of that driver is unknown at this time.

The Canton City Fire Department said the Canton Township Fire Department and Stark County HAZMAT crews assisted on scene.
