Candy Cane Bar Crawl, Pop-Ups Mark Busy Holiday Week In Del Ray

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Del Ray's tree lighting has come and gone, but don't but away your festive attire just yet. The next few days in Del Ray will offer plenty of events to keep you in the holiday spirit.

Whether you want to join friends for the annual Candy Cane Bar Crawl or shop for unique gifts from small businesses, there's an event for you.

In addition, local non-profits have decorated and lined up 12 trees along Mount Vernon Avenue. Visitors are invited to take a look at the trees and vote for their favorite through 5 p.m. on Christmas Day.

Below is the schedule for this week's holiday events in Del Ray.

Shops of Del Ray's Ladies Night Out

Thursday, Dec. 6

6 p.m.-9 p.m.

Various shops along Mount Vernon Avenue

Rather than brave the bustling crowds at the malls, you can sip wine and shop with friends at local businesses. There will also be an outdoor pop-up shop featuring local artisans.

Candy Cane Bar Crawl

Saturday, Dec. 8

2 p.m.-8 p.m.

Around Del Ray

Put on your Christmas sweathers and join friends for the festive bar crawl around Del Ray. Participating restaurants will have drink specials, and there will be 50/50 raffles, a grand prize raffle, an Ugly Sweater contest and more.

Check-in begins at 1:30 p.m. at Lena's Wood-Fired Pizza & Tap (401 East Braddock Road) or Northside 10 (10 East Glebe Road). Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Del Ray Artisans 23rd Annual Fine Art & Fine Craft Holiday Market

Dec. 7-9, 14-16

Colasanto Center, 2704 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria

Del Ray Artisans' market offers handcrafted arts and crafts from local artists. Items include botanical drawings, fiber/textiles, glass, jewelry, mixed media, mosaics, painting, paper crafting, photography, pottery/ceramics, sculpture, watercolor, wood turning and more. Each weekend features different artists.

Hours are Fridays 6 p.m.-9 p.m. and weekends 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
