More details have been released about the events that lead to a fatal stabbing in the 2100 block of Grant Street on Tuesday night.

According to the arrest affidavit, police were called just before 11 p.m. by the daughter of Katherine Acuna, who said the victim was being assaulted by her boyfriend, Narciso Caso.

Police said the victim’s daughter told them Caso had left the home.

When police arrived on the scene, they said they found Acuna inside the home unresponsive from multiple stab wounds.

Paramedics arrived and found that Acuna had died from her injuries.

According to police, Caso was located walking in the 2200 block of Grant Street.

Caso was taken to the police station for questioning and police said he agreed to provide a statement, in which Caso said he had been arguing with Acuna and it became physical.

Police said Caso told them he lost control of himself, grabbed a knife from a dresser and stabbed Acuna one or two times.

Caso told police he left the scene when Acuna’s daughter called the police.

The Wichita Falls Police Department has taken a suspect into custody for the murder of a Wichita Falls woman Tuesday night.

Narciso Caso, 45, was arrested and booked into the Wichita County Jail on a murder charge.

Caso’s bond has been set at $1 million.

In his bond hearing this morning, Caso said through an interpreter he does not speak or understand English and is a citizen of Mexico.  He also said could not afford an attorney and requested one be appointed for him.

According to WFPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Charlie Eipper, officers responded to a call to investigate a stabbing at 11:24 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23 in the 2100 block of Grant Street.

Eipper said the victim, Katherine Acuna, 46, was pronounced dead on the scene and that a knife was found at the scene.

Espinosa is reported to be the boyfriend of the victim.

Eipper said a witness was interviewed by WFPD detectives.

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL)— The Wichita Falls Police Department is still trying to figure out how a woman died Tuesday night.

Officers responded to the 2100 block of Grant Street when they got an assault call around 11:30 p.m.,

Upon arrival they found Katherine Acuna, 45, deceased inside of a house. WFPD Sgt. Brian Sheehan said he could not determine the cause of death. Sheehan said the incident is being investigated as a murder.

A person of interest and several witnesses were being questioned.
