A Hinds County inmate at the Raymond Detention Center tested positive for COVID-19, sheriff's office officials reported Monday.

Sheriff's Office officials said on Twitter they have contacted the state Department of Health and will test all inmates at the detention center and other facilities. Detention officers also will be tested if they choose.

Last week, the sheriff's department reported two Raymond Detention Center officers tested positive for COVID-19 and a sick inmate was tested.
