The Perkins-Tryon football team dominated Chisholm from start to finish on Friday night.

The Class 3A seventh-ranked Demons got the opening kickoff, scored on their first drive and cruised to a 47-12 road victory.

Senior quarterback Austin Mages led the offense, throwing for 125 yards and two touchdowns and running for 242 yards and three scores.

The Demons (1-1) began their season with a 27-7 loss to Class 4A Cushing (3-0) after having just one day of practice to prepare because of issues related to COVID-19.

Perkins-Tryon coach Bruce Williams said his team was ready for Class 2A Chisholm (1-2).

“We felt like as coaches it was really important to have a really good week of practice, which we did,” he said.

Perkins-Tryon is scheduled to host Class 3A No. 10 Anadarko (2-1) at 7 p.m. Friday. Chisholm will have a home game against Class 2A Oklahoma Christian School (2-0).
