Tangible Science announced the rollout of Unity BioSync, daily disposable contact lenses co-developed with VSP Optics.

This is the first daily disposable silicone hydrogel to feature a modified formula of the patented Tangible Hydra-PEG polymer technology, according to a press release from Tangible Science.

Unity BioSync lenses were created with HydraMist technology to improve lens hydration, providing a durable and comfortable experience for patients, the company said. The polymer is bonded to the surface of the lens to give patients a full day of wear.

“The Unity brand has a long-standing dedication to providing eye care professionals with ophthalmic solutions rooted in innovation that are easy to fit, provide exceptional visual acuity and are comfortable for patients to wear,” Dave Delle Donne, senior vice president of commercial markets for VSP Optics, said in the release.

A representative from VSP told Primary Care Optometry News that with the initial rollout, Unity BioSync will be available to both VSP and non-VSP patients through participating VSP Global Premier Program practices, then all VSP doctors will have access after the first release. – by Erin T. Welsh
