Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association officially released the high school football postseason pairings Sunday.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, several teams were unable to complete its district schedule of games. That meant the OSSAA opened up the playoffs to every team, though there were several programs which decided to opt out and not be involved in the postseason.

As a result, there will be some teams that have drawn first-round byes this week, and will not play until next week.

One of those teams with a bye is the defending 4A champion Poteau Pirates.

The Pirates, who recently wrapped up the District 4A-4 title, is off next week and will start play in next week's second round against the winner of this week's first-round game between Fort Gibson and Skiatook.

Sallisaw received the No. 4 seed from 4A-4 and will get to play at home Friday in an opening-round playoff against Oologah, the No. 5 seed from 4A-3. The winner of that game advances to play at Wagoner, which drew a bye as the 4A-3 champion.

Also in the 4A playoffs is Muldrow, the No. 6 seed from 4A-4 and coming off its first win of the season, beating Tulsa McLain. The Bulldogs will play a first-round game this Friday at Grove, the No. 3 seed from 4A-3.

In 3A, Stigler is the No. 2 seed from 3A-3 following its loss to Lincoln Christian last week for the district title.

The Panthers drew an opening-round bye this week and will play a second-round game at home next week against the winner of Friday's first round playoff between Westville and Vinita.

For the first time since 2015, the Roland Rangers are in the playoffs. They will also get to be at home on Friday.

Roland, the No. 4 seed from 2A-5, will play at home against Antlers, the No. 5 seed from 2A-6. The winner will move on to play at Eufaula, the 2A-6 top seed.

Spiro, which had its final two regular-season games canceled, will open up the playoffs as the No. 3 seed from 2A-5. The Bulldogs play at home Friday against Valliant, the No. 6 seed from 2A-6.

That winner will play the winner of the opening-round game Friday between Heavener, the No. 7 seed from 2A-5, and Idabel, the No. 2 seed from 2A-6.

Panama, the No. 6 seed from 2A-5, will play a first-round game Friday at Atoka, the No. 3 seed from 2A-6. That winner moves on to play next week at Vian, the No. 2 seed from 2A-5.

In Class A, the Central Tigers will be at home Friday for a first-round playoff.

Central, the No. 4 seed from A-8, hosts Mounds, the No. 5 seed from A-7. The winner of that game advances to play next week at Wewoka, the top seed from A-7.

Arkoma, which has had several B-6 games canceled, will get to have a first-round home playoff Friday. The Mustangs received the No. 3 seed from B-6 and will face Porum, the No. 6 seed from B-5.

That winner will advance to play next week at Quinton, the No. 2 seed from B-5.

Keota, the No. 2 seed from B-6, drew a first-round bye and will play next week. The Lions will have a second-round home playoff against Wetumka, the No. 3 seed from B-5.

The OSSAA posted starting times this week at 7:30 p.m., though several local schools have already shifted its games to 7 p.m.
