A West Des Moines man was arrested Thursday after a search of his apartment uncovered child pornography, court records show.

Jose De Jesus Ramirez, 29, is charged with five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

One of the videos that police uncovered had a title that suggested the child depicted was 8 years old.

West Des Moines police received a cyber-tip in November connecting an IP address to downloads of child pornography, the search warrant says. They connected the address to Ramirez and ordered a search warrant.
