2 injured in motorcycle-deer collision in Oconto County, sheriff's office reports

OCONTO FALLS – Two people were injured Nov. 5 when the motorcycle they were riding struck a deer.

The crash occurred about 5 p.m. on State 22.

A westbound motorcycle driven by Robert Risso, 50, of Oconto Falls, struck a deer in the roadway and entered the north ditch just south of Donegal Lane.

Risso was transported to a Green Bay hospital with serious injuries.

His passenger, Tracy Depner, 50, of Oconto Falls was transported to a Green Bay hospital with a minor injury.

Neither were using helmets, but they were wearing boots, long pants and jackets.

11:49 a.m. – leaves being burned ignited woodpile, 15000 block of Bowman Lane, Mountain; property suffered minor burns to arm, but was not transported for treatment.

1:30 p.m. – suspicious activity, 12000 block of County Q, Pound.

1:47 p.m. – diesel fuel stolen from two vehicles, 800 block of East Frontage Road, Little Suamico.

3:06 p.m. – small brush fire in burn barren ignited garage, 4000 block of Rowell Lane, Abrams. DNR and Abrams Fire Department extinguished blaze.

4:55 p.m. – transport inmate.

5 p.m. – vehicle crash, town of Oconto Falls. A motorcycle westbound on State 22, driven by Robert Risso, 50, of Oconto Falls, struck a deer in the roadway and entered the north ditch just south of Donegal Lane. 4:18 p.m. – custodial interference complaint, town of Spruce.

4:51 p.m. – vehicle crash in the town of Chase. Kaylee Lauersdorf, 21, of Sobieski, was northbound on County C, failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck a retention wall just north of Potts Lane. Lauersdorf was cited for operating while suspended, operate motor vehicle without insurance and failure to keep vehicle under control. Neither she nor her passenger were hurt.

5:42 p.m. – fire, South Chase Road and Jaworski Road, Pulaski.

11:29 a.m. – assist police with attempt to locate person, 900 block of Main Street.
