NYC soprano to perform, offer free voice lessons in New York Mills

The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center will host a pop-up performance by soprano Tiffanie Trujillo from New York City on Wednesday, Oct. 13 from 6-7 p.m.

The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center will host a pop-up performance by soprano Tiffanie Trujillo from New York City on Wednesday, Oct. 13 from 6-7 p.m. There will be light refreshments available. The event will be free to attend, with donations accepted to support the artist and the residency program.

Trujillo is an American soprano and Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music. She is the recipient of merit-based scholarships and the winner of multiple singing competitions. Roles she has performed completely and partially include Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier, Micaëla of Carmen, Marguerite in Gounod’s Faust, Mimì in Labohème and more.

Most recently, Trujillo covered the soprano solo in the North American debut of Requiem for the Fallenat New York’s Zankel Hall. In 2016, she made her European performance debut with concerts in Italy. She is currently a freelance artist and maintains a private voice studio both online and in person ( tiffanietrujillo.com ).

Trujillo is spending time in New York Mills as part of the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center’s Arts Retreat artist residency program. The program provides dedicated artists time for creative development and exploration for artists of all disciplines.

The Theater Arts Alliance says, “Tiffanie is simply a treasure on stage. Her acting is incredibly detail-orientated and her voice flawlessly rich and beautiful.”

Trujillo will be offering free group voice lessons at the cultural center on Oct. 21 and 23 for ages 15 and older, along with private lessons by request.
