The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off an NBA championship in the bubble led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis. They have made it clear they wanted to make key changes to the roster. One intriguing option would be to pursue Chicago Bulls’ Coby White via trade.
The Lakers have already had players like Avery Bradley and Rajon Rondo declining their options. Rondo is now in Atlanta with the Hawks. Danny Green was traded to Oklahoma City in a deal that landed the Lakers in Dennis Schroder. They wanted to improve their point guard position and did immediately.
There is still plenty of room for the Lakers to add another guard into the mix, especially with Schroder looking to start. White could slot in playing a key role for the bench— making the unit a cleaner fit than what it otherwise may have been.
For the Bulls, the upcoming season is going to look a little different. They are not going to contend for a championship like Los Angeles, but they could still look to be active over the final weeks of the offseason.
The Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers are two historic franchises with a history of winning. If they were to connect in a trade, this is something that could be discussed.
