Media Alert - Fuel Cell Electric Car Ride and Drive

VANCOUVER, May 17, 2019 /CNW/ - The f-cell+HFC 2019 Impulse Summit in Vancouver on May 22-23, 2019 and the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association are hosting a "Ride and Drive" of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs) for local media,  conference and trade fair participants who want to test-drive two of the first commercial fuel cell electric cars in Vancouver.

Licensed drivers are invited to share the "zero-emission fuel cell electric car" experience in a Toyota MIRAI or a Hyundai NEXO. Come visit us at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre and learn how hydrogen fuel cell electric cars will contribute to a cleaner and self-sustaining future. 

Fuel cell electric cars are quiet, have quick acceleration, emit only water from the tailpipe and have excellent driving ranges similar to the internal combustion engine cars we drive today. They are now commercially available in Vancouver and will be supported by an initial five hydrogen refueling stations for British Columbians to fuel up.

  • On-road FCEV test drives of approximately 10 minutes per vehicle.
  • Drivers will be accompanied by a knowledgeable hydrogen fuel cell expert who can
    answer all your questions about performance, range, fueling, costs and more.
  • Representatives from Toyota and Hyundai will provide information about the latest
    innovative hydrogen and fuel cell electric vehicle technologies and activities in our
    Province.
