The Crayon Box Children's Learning Center

Whether you are a student, working in the community, or just interested in a morning/afternoon enrichment program, you will find Andrews University Children's Learning Center a good place for your child to spend his or her day!

Our developmentally appropriate program will expose your child to a variety of concepts, skills, and activities. We believe children learn best through play, moving and exploring their environment. That means qualified professionals create an environment that challenges children in all areas of development: social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual.

At The Crayon Box, we have developed a Young 5s program that provides an additional year of school between Pre-K and Kindergarten in order to support children who need an additional year before Kindergarten or who have a birthday just after the Kindergarten deadline. Our custom Bible-based, Kindergarten-readiness curriculum involves hands on fun while preparing for Kindergarten.


Children may be enrolled any time during the year. Eight attendance plans provided for flexible scheduling of even the most complicated schedule. We accept children ages 2 weeks - the age of 12.

Infant ratio 1:3, Toddler ratio 1:4, Preschool ratio 1:10, Pre-K ratio 1:12. Young 5s ratio: 1:18 Summer Camp/After School ratio: 1:18.
