Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions To Sponsor Basketball Tournament

LARCHMONT, NY — The Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions are teaming up with Mamaroneck High School to support its Mid-January Basketball Tournament. The four team tournament takes place Jan. 17-18 at the Mamaroneck High school gym.

The tournament will feature teams from Alexander Hamilton, Ardsley, Mamaroneck and Rye high schools.

The tournament schedule is:

Friday, Jan. 17
5 p.m.: Rye vs. Alexander Hamilton
7 p.m.: Mamaroneck vs. Ardsley

Saturday, Jan. 18
5 p.m.: Consolation Game
7 p.m.: Championship Game

Trophies will be presented by the Lions and MHS to teams following each Saturday game. During the halftime of Saturday’s games, youth from Larchmont-Mamaroneck Basketball Association will play for five minutes.

The Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions' association with Mamaroneck High school sports follows on the current connection between the Rye City Lions Club and Rye High School.

This new Larchmont Mamaroneck Lions' support of area youth and our schools builds on the other Lions youth commitments, including the annual awarding of a college scholarship to a Mamaroneck senior; the Lions Peace Poster Contest for area 11- to 13-year-old youth; the awarding of the MHS Athlete of Fall 2019; and plans for the creation of a Lions Leos Club at Mamaroneck High School.
