Two dead, one injured in head-on crash on Highway 211 near Molalla, Oregon

A Molalla man and Colton woman died Saturday evening in a head-on crash on the Woodburn-Estacada Highway near Molalla. 

Oregon State Police troopers and medics responded to the crash about 5:25 p.m. near S. Macksburg Road.

Investigators said Molalla resident Robert Nolz, 64, was driving south on the highway in a Ford pick-up truck when he crossed into the northbound lane for unknown reasons. 

Nolz collided head-on with a northbound Chevy Tahoe, driven by Nancy Sowers, 79, of Colton, officials said.

A Molalla man and Colton woman died Saturday evening in a two-vehicle crash on Woodburn-Estacada Highway near Molalla.

Nolz and Sowers were pronounced dead at the scene. 

A passenger in the Tahoe, Nancy Slocum, 62, also of Colton, was taken to Oregon Health & Science University with serious injuries.

The Oregon Department of Transportation, Molalla Police Department and Molalla and Colton fire departments assisted state police during the crash.
