Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More Leaps into Brighton

Growing Garment Decorating Franchise Targets Greater Ann Arbor Area for Expansion

Brighton, Mich. –Big Frog Custom T-Shirts & More®, a locally-owned, high-technology garment decorating franchise where customers have the freedom to design their own apparel, announced a lease signing to bring a new location to Brighton situated at 9690 Village Place Blvd on March 28.

The new Big Frog location will be owned and operated by husband and wife team Craig and Linda Suter, who have lived in South Lyon for over a decade. With extensive careers in data operations and accounting, respectively, the Suters decided the time had come to finally fulfill their longstanding dream of opening a business together. Craig, whose family owned a Dairy Queen when he was growing up, was familiar with the franchise business model and began researching various concepts to potentially invest in. After finally discovering a brand that checked all the boxes, the duo turned to entrepreneurship with Big Frog – a business that allows them to operate the business together while being a valuable asset to their community.

“We are beyond excited to bring a spark of creativity to the Brighton community with the opening of our first Big Frog,” said Craig. “Our main objective is creating a fun value-added experience for our customers as they experiment with colors, fonts and graphics to get just the look they want. With our advanced printing technology and talented artists, the sky’s the limit on what you can do!”

Big Frog combines creativity with cutting-edge technology and brings a personalized service to local markets. The unique design technology makes it a fast, individualized and convenient service that leaps beyond competition. The brand’s Direct to Garment (DTG) printing bonds the ink to the fabric’s molecules allowing products to be washed in both hot and cold water and with color-safe bleaching without risking damage, crack or peel to the image.

“With the right people and tools in place, our brand is focused on nationwide growth, and we are pleased to announce this latest expansion in Brighton,” said Dr. Tina Bacon-DeFrece, president of Big Frog. “We look forward to a long-lasting relationship with Craig and Linda, and hope to establish even more franchise relationships in Michigan in the years to come.”

Since opening its first franchised location in 2009, Big Frog has grown exponentially. With more than 80 locations open and 11 locations in different stages of development, the retailer plans to add 26 new franchise locations in 2018 through strategic franchise partnerships, bringing the total number of franchises awarded to over 100. As the $50 billion garment decorating industry continues to grow, Dr. Tina Bacon-DeFrece, president of Big Frog, believes that North America will soon be home to hundreds of Big Frog stores.
