Let’s get one thing out of the way: bringing back Martin Perez was a good move that makes the Red Sox better. An underwhelming signing? Perhaps. But a solid baseball move that does improve Boston’s rotation.

It shouldn’t be the last addition Chaim Bloom makes to his club’s rotation this winter. In fact, the Red Sox should add at least two more legitimate arms before Opening Day.
