The Emden, IL, Fire Protection District puts a 2018 Alexis pumper, built on a Freightliner M2 106 cab and chassis, in service.

Emden, IL, Fire Protection District puts a 2018 Alexis pumper, built on a Freightliner M2 106 cab and chassis, in service. It is powered by a Cummins ISL 350-hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Darley PSM 1,500-gpm single-stage PTO pump and a 1,000-gallon UPF Poly III tank. It's also equipped with a Kussmaul Super auto-eject battery conditioner, LED compartment lighting, R.O.M. roll-up doors, thru-the-tank ladder storage, a swing out tool board, forcible entry tools, Code 3 electronic siren, Fire Research Corp. Spectra LED scene lighting, and Code 3 warning lights.
