The City of Boston's plastic bag ban, which was temporarily halted during the height of the coronavirus outbreak in Massachusetts, is back in effect.Beginning Thursday, Oct. 1, the Inspectional Services Department’s Weights & Measures Division will resume enforcing the ordinance that requires customers to use reusable bags or pay a fee for a bag.
